The Hummingbird Centre working with The Community of Bicester

Where ever possible The Hummingbird Centre become involved with events within the Community of Bicester, enabling us to meet other organisations. This month we attended The Bicester Health and Social Information Fair and The Older Peoples Day events both of which were a great success.

Team Hummingbird take part in The Extra Mile Challenge

Team Hummingbird did it again this year.  They decided to take the Extra Mile Challenge a 500 mile cycle event starting in Eastern France, travelling through the Black Forest in Germany & finishing by Lake Geneva in Switzerland. Whilst it may sound very nice & certainly picturesque, the riders complete this in 3 days and to quote the organisers , the terrain can be a “bit lumpy”.

Our team will be David Kita, Anthony Priestnall, Kevin Perryman & our very own Paul Harris, (the Boss Lady’s better half )!! they have all been training hard and are very keen to raise as much money as possible for The Hummingbird Centre.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank BushboardLtd , based in Wellingborough for kindly sponsoring the cycle kit.

Step back in time to the 1950’s

Sparky and Sprite opened up the evening with a show stopping Jive routine and getting the audience on their feet after that there was no stopping everyone, all the audience were dressed to kill going back in time, even our own Pink Ladies took to the dance floor.

Bicester Buffets created an array of 1950’s food, Mr Ian Jones was kept busy with his photo booth.

Great night and great atmosphere created by The Hummingbird Centre.

Bicester and District Darts Association

Bicester and District Darts Association Summer League 2016 Finals night presentations where Mechelle was asked to present the trophies along with the Chairman of the Highfields Social Club.

To the surprise of The Boss Lady, The Hummingbird Centre was presented with a cheque to the sum of £1200 as the Association had been raising funds at various events they had been holding.
