The Hummingbird Centre provide Complementary Therapies during COVID-19
During October The Hummingbird Centre was approached by some of our medical contacts to see if we would be able to offer some of our Complementary Treatments for those who needed Lymphatic Drainage and help with anxiety.
After many meetings with our COVID Project Manager, Mr Ian Critchley, we managed to put together a safe environment within our Holistic Building to carry out these therapies.
Ian and Mechelle were PPE trained in the donning and doffing of PPE by one of our local GP Medical practices in Bicester who signed them off to carry out the training for the rest of the team.
With the help of funding grants we were able to put together PPE bags for our guests which contained gloves, masks, shoe coverings, aprons and sanitisers. Each guest was sent a letter confirming their times, along with our guidelines brochure, temperature checked upon arrival as well as being booked in via our track and trace system.
Serena, Kevin, Ketan and Julie all received the relevant training as well as their own PPE box containing all the that was needed for them to carry out the treatments within a safe and controlled environment. Without their dedication and time this service would never have happened.
