My friend Priyanka was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022 at the age of 36. She had a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old daughter at the time.
They had a rollercoaster of a journey, but with the support of Macmillan, the ride was a little less bumpy. They are eternally grateful to them.
A year into the journey her daughters were very overwhelmed with their emotions. This is when they discovered The Hummingbird Centre, a place not just for the cancer patient but for their family members too. It’s a safe space to talk, cry and even catch up on sleep when needed.
3 years on since Priyanka’s diagnosis, they still visit the centre every week. They’ve given them so much as a family and as individuals. The warmth, love and security they provide is priceless and it would be a pleasure to give something back to such an amazing charity.
So, we will be performing a skydive to help us raise money for charities so close to our hearts.
