Ethan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in October 2022.
When he finished his treatment in November 2023 Ethan had a party and raised money for The Kamran’s ward who looked after him and The Hummingbird. It was agreed with Ethan that we would put some of his money raised towards a bell which we would be called Ethan’s Bell. September 2nd, we invited Ethan to the unveiling but what he did not know is that the bell we had installed was his original bell that he rang after receiving his news. The family wanted The Hummingbird to have his original bell; Ethan wants everyone who come to the centre to ring it when they have received some good news about their treatment not just when they are given the all clear.
