Project Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), 4 intrepid climbers, 1 incredible cause!
The pebble of cancer is still in my hand but I don’t feel it as much anymore!
I cannot thank The Hummingbird Centre enough for getting me to this point – there were times when I just couldn’t see how things could be “normal” again! My life is now my new normal.
I will be eternally grateful for all that The Hummingbird Centre did for me through Hypnotherapy and Counselling, and as the for the Equine Therapy I never thought that would have the impact on me that it did (I remember Mechelle, saying just trust me), so I did and all I can say is that I was able to look at life and me in a completely different way. I can not find the words to explain the way I felt after attending these amazing sessions but for anyone out there who has never tried Equine Therapy them please consider it.
On the 21st June, Nicola, Brendan, Sian & Zachary (with more determination than training) will be climbing Snowdon to raise money for The Hummingbird Centre in Launton.
This is a very personal challenge as in January 2024 Nicola was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer during a scheduled mammogram. She spent most of the year having chemo, surgery and then radiotherapy before being given the all clear in January 2025. For much of her cancer journey she (& Brendan) were supported by an incredible local charity The Hummingbird Centre.
The task won’t be easy but it’s nothing compared to the day-to-day challenges faced by cancer survivors and their families.
