A charity is throwing open its doors to give residents a chance to experience “wellness in action” and discover the support it provides to people impacted by cancer.
Cancer support charity The Hummingbird Centre, based in Launton, near Bicester, will open to the community on Saturday, June 20, between 11am and 4pm.
Residents can get a glimpse behind the scenes – meet the team, explore the centre and try of some of the complementary therapies and wellness activities provided there.
Visitors can sample treatments such as Reiki, Indian head massage, reflexology; and view a range of wellbeing stalls on site selling jewellery, candles, cacao and more.
People can also chat to local practitioners and community organisations to learn more about the holistic support available through The Hummingbird Centre.
Refreshments, including homemade cakes, will be available throughout the day and visitors can also take part in a raffle. All money raised from the day will go towards the running costs of the centre.
Zoe Draper, Centre Manager said: “We wanted to create an event that not only showcases what The Hummingbird Centre offers but also gives people a chance to experience wellbeing in action.
“It is a chance to meet our team, find out more about our services and see first-hand the positive difference the centre makes to individuals and families across the community.
“Whether someone is looking for support, interested in holistic therapies, or simply wants to find out more about what we do, everyone is welcome.”
